Everything You Need to Know About the Nepal Premier League Auction 2024

The Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024 auction is set to take place on October 6 in Kathmandu. The auction will kick off at 2:00 PM (NST) at the Soaltee Hotel. Each franchise can sign up to 10 players during the auction, with the requirement to select players from each category.

Player Categories and Bidding Structure:

The NPL 2024 auction will feature 142 players, with 42 players shortlisted by the NPL Preparation Committee. The players are divided into three categories:

Category A: 27 players
Category B: 38 players
Category C: 77 players (largest pool)

Bidding Details:

Category A:
- Starting Bid: Minimum of 10 Lakhs
- Maximum Cap: 15 Lakhs
- If bids reach the maximum cap, a lucky draw will determine the final outcome.
Category B:
- Starting Bid: Minimum of 5 Lakhs
- Maximum Cap: 10 Lakhs
- If bids reach the maximum cap, a lucky draw will determine the final outcome.
Category C:
- Starting Bid: Minimum of 2 Lakhs
- Maximum Cap: 5 Lakhs
- If bids reach the maximum cap, a lucky draw will determine the final outcome.

Team Purse:

Each franchise will have a total purse of NPR 90 Lakhs to build their squad during the auction.
